Important Applicant Requirements
Prospective homebuyers should carefully review the complete application for eligibility requirements, required documentation, and program details. The application includes information regarding employment and income, household finances, credit, and other documentation needed to determine eligibility.
Applicants will also be required to complete the Saint Joseph’s Carpenter Society Homebuyer Education Program. The program includes Financial Fitness and Homebuyer Education classes and provides certification upon completion. The program is HUD-approved and accepted by financial institutions and local government agencies.
Applicants should review the application and document checklist carefully. Required documentation may include identification, Social Security cards, birth certificates, income verification, bank statements, tax returns and W-2s, and other applicable financial or household documents.
A Home in Salem City
The home at 47 Walnut Street is currently under construction and is anticipated to be completed in late fall or early winter 2026, with the selected homeowner expected to be able to take possession by the end of the calendar year.
